My Sister and Me
Hannah is 8 years older than me. She is the second born, I’m number 5 in the birth order lineup. At her young age of 7 years old she already had two younger brothers and she could see how this was playing out. So she prayed for a sister. I’m very grateful for her prayers. I’m a firm believer in God and the Bible and it says in God’s Word that we are planned before He created the world. (Psalm 139). I believe that. But God also, I believe, wanted to grow little Hannah’s faith so He granted her prayer request. She was always my “go to” person, she was older, wiser and was always kind. Walking beside me for 66 years she left us July 2021. I also believe I’ll see her again and we’ll spend eternity getting to know each other all over again. I’m so grateful for God’s plan.
Teaching Marty Lou how to hold a chicken.
Hannah. Probably close to the time she started praying for a little sister. And she continued to be a prayer warrior throughout her life. She, at this age was also a little peeved she wasn’t a boy because she couldn’t pee standing up. Kids. So funny. The disgruntled attitude didn’t last long and she grew to appreciate the woman God had created her to be.
The chicken is so patient!
Hannah and me. She got her sister.
And same sisters, probably early 2000. She was my best friend.
